Office Fiber Handoff & VLAN Design
Clean dedicated-link handoff with routed LAN, VLAN segmentation, and documented change control for a multi-floor office site.
Scope
New dedicated fiber into a multi-floor office with separate VLANs for staff, guest, CCTV, and voice. Handoff points and IP plans were written for ops handover.
What changed
Core routing and firewall rules were aligned to the VLAN plan. Guest traffic is isolated, and uplink monitoring was added at the CPE and first aggregation switch.
Outcome
The site came up with a calm cutover window. Future adds (new floor, new CCTV VLAN) follow the same documented pattern instead of ad-hoc changes.
